I am taking 5 classes this semester and on the first day of one of my classes I saw a girl that looked extremely familiar, I was pretty sure I went to high school with her but wasn't positive. Lets call her 'X'. The girl that I was thinking about moved across the country senior year so that's why I didn't think it was her. How random would it be for somebody I went to high school with to move across the country and back, go to Baruch, and end up in one of my classes. I just didn't think that would happen. And as the semester went along I wasn't 100% positive it was her so I didn't want to say anything. In this class we were going over the groups for the end of the semester project and the professor said her name, and I was like, it must be her. How many people have the same name and look just like the person I was thinking it was?! Later that week, I walked into class and 'X' calls out my name!! It was her. Then we start talking and talking about what other classes we are taking and we realize we are in another class together. What a small world!!

  1. Bevin, our world is indeed very, very small...
I come from a small town of about 100,000 people from another part of the world...Couple of month ago, I was working out at my local gym (Bally's) and I see a guy with Kavkaz tatoo...I ask him where he is from, found out he was from the same town, living on the same street as me...Now what are the chances...:)

  3. I know! Just today I was walking with my boyfriend and he ran into someone whose girlfriend used to go to the same high school as me and I thought the same thing.

  5. new york city has so many people in it yet there have been times when on the train or walking somewhere that i run into someone that i havent seen in a really long time. its always weird when you see them and you have to take a couple of mins to figure out if that is really the person you are thinking of. then you have the window where if you are going to say something then you say it but if you wait to long then you miss that window and would just feel weird if you say something lol. it is a small world!!

  6. bevin, it is a totally small world, made all the more small by facebook. it's so weird but every so often i will contacted by someone i went to elementary school with. someone whom i thought i would never see again, but lo and behold they are on facebook. it sort of makes me believe in the six degrees of separation rule.
